Conflicts of Interest: You shouldn’t write reviews of your own business or employer. You shouldn’t write reviews for your friends’ or relatives’ business, your peers, or your competitors. Business owners should not ask customers to write reviews.

Promotional content: Unless you’re adding content to your laboratory’s profile page, we discourage adding promotional content via the reviews. Don’t involve commercial activities or sales, such as contests, sweepstakes and other sales promotions, barter or advertising.

Privacy: Don’t publish other’s private information. Don’t post photos or videos without proper permission. Don’t publish people’s full names unless you’re referring to someone who is commonly identified by or commonly shares their own full name.

Intellectual property: Don’t use content from other sites or users. Write your own reviews. Don’t infringe any patent, trademark, trade secret, copyright or other intellectual property or other rights of any other person.

Customer Review Guidelines

Personal experience: The best reviews are personal and offer a rich narrative, a wealth of detail, and helpful advice for other customers. Tell your own story without broad generalizations.

Accuracy: Make sure your review is factually correct. Feel free to air your opinions, but don’t exaggerate or misrepresent your experience. Be prepared to stand behind what you say!

Respect: Everybody has a right to their own opinions, whether you agree with them or not. Please don’t get into shouting matches!

Lab Posting Guidelines

About Your Laboratory: The main body of the profile is used to tell people about your company. Insert your marketing blurb here. Don’t use this area to attack competitors or reviewers, or to post special offers or promotions.

Responding to Reviews: Laboratories can address issues publicly by posting a comment in response to a review. Many times, companies can turn a negative review into a positive experience by working with the customer. If the response isn’t appropriate for the public forum, we can work with you to put you in touch with the customer.

Don’t ask customers for reviews: Solicited reviews create bias in your business listing.
